The owner of a male stripping business has been extradited from NSW after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in 2023.

Police allege the man travelled to Canberra in July 2023 for a show his company was hosting in Canberra City and met the woman at a hotel room in Dickson after the event.

At the hotel, the man allegedly sexually assaulted the woman and then recorded her and another woman without their consent.

The incident was reported to police in 2024 and on Thursday (13 March 2025), a search warrant was executed at the man’s home in Camden (NSW).

He was arrested and faced court in NSW where his extradition to the ACT was granted. He will appear in the Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 15 March 2025), charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

Anyone with any information about this incident or similar incidents is urged to come forward.

If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, you can report to police by attending a police station, calling 131 444, or by speaking to the Canberra Rape Crisis Centre on 02 6247 2525.
