
A 33-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his former partner and making repeated and harassing phone calls.
On Saturday morning (22 March 2025), the man arrived at his former partner’s residence in Kaleen. He then became aggressive and began yelling at the woman before allegedly kicking her to the ground.
The woman sought medical treatment for her injuries and yesterday (Monday, 24 March 2025), the matter was reported to police.
Police allege the man also harassed his former partner with multiple phone calls, observing more than 50 missed calls on her phone, and went to her home when she wasn’t there.
He was arrested at Belconnen Police Station last night and conveyed to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with aggravated stalking, aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and using a carriage service to harass.
He is due to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 25 March 2025).
