
An 18-year-old man has been arrested after being found with a gel-blaster in Lyons.
About 6:15am this morning (Wednesday, 6 March 2025), officers from Woden Station attended the man’s residence following information that he was in possession of an illegal firearm.
During a search of the man’s bedroom, police located a gel-blaster, clip seal bags believed to contain cocaine, a small container containing a large amount of substance believed to be methylamphetamine, and approximately $1200 in cash.
The man has been charged with multiple firearms offences and trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
ACT Policing reminds the community that it is an offence to possess a gel-blaster. If you are found in possession of one, it will be seized and you may face criminal charges.
