
A 29-year-old Downer woman has been caught driving with more than four times the legal blood alcohol limit and with drugs in her system.
Between 8.15 and 8.45pm yesterday (Friday, 6 June 2025) police received multiple reports of a silver Holden Captiva allegedly driving erratically in the Woden and City areas.
About 8.45pm police located the vehicle outside a bottle shop in Dickson and police observed the woman return to it. Officers spoke with the woman who admitted to driving the vehicle.
The woman who has never held a valid licence was then subject to a breath analysis test return a result of 0.221. She also underwent a drug screening test which returned a positive result.
The 29-year-old woman was arrested by police and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with drive motor vehicle with alcohol in blood/breath, unlicenced driver/rider (never licenced).
