A 41-year-old Theodore man will face court today after allegedly ramming a neighbour’s vehicle and threatening her with a sledgehammer.

About 4.00pm yesterday (Monday, 16 June 2025), the 41-year-old man allegedly rammed his neighbour’s car with his own before exiting his vehicle and verbally abusing her.

The man then grabbed a sledgehammer and returned to his neighbour’s property but was scared off by another man.

Officers arrived a short time later and attempted to speak to the man, but he refused to engage with police.

Police later entered the man’s home and arrested him. He has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon and property damage, and is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 17 June 2025).
