A 36-year-old Narrabundah man will face court this morning following multiple burglaries at various construction sites across Canberra since February this year.

Police will allege from 16 February to 12 May (2025) the man was involved in eight burglary and theft incidents.

Last Friday (6 June 2025), police conducted a search warrant at the man’s residence in Narrabundah in relation to the burglaries. At the time of the warrant the man was not located. Officers seized dozens of power tools and other property suspected to be stolen from the construction site burglaries.

About 11:00pm last night (Friday, 13 June 2025), police located the 36-year-old man at an address in Griffith where he was subsequently arrested.

During the arrest, officers located a large quantity of property believed to be related to the burglaries as well as other items suspected to be stolen. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the premises.

Four high end pushbikes worth an estimated $15,000 and a large number of power tools with estimated worth of $60,000 were seized.

The man - who was subject to bail conditions - will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (14 June 2025) charged with six counts of burglary, six counts of theft, two counts of trespass, unlawful possession of stolen property, five traffic related offences and breaching bail.
