
A 39-year-old Kaleen man has been charged after he allegedly choked and sexually assaulted his partner.
In February (2025) the man allegedly inappropriately touched the woman and proceeded to sexually assault her while choking her.
Police will allege the man choked the women frequently during their relationship as a form of control.
The man was arrested yesterday (Friday, 6 June 2025) and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 7 June 2025) charged with sexual intercourse without consent and chokes/ suffocates/strangle another person.
