
A 47-year-old man has been charged after allegedly exposing himself to and indecently touching a 12-year-old girl.
On 12 April 2025 a 12-year-old girl was fishing at a pond in Bonner where she saw a man not known to her allegedly expose himself. She was later allegedly approached by the man and who sat next to her and allegedly indecently touched her.
The incident was reported to police at the end of April, and an investigation was commenced.
Following extensive efforts to identify and locate the alleged offender a 47-year-old Sri Lankan national was arrested at his place of work yesterday (Friday, 6 June 2025). He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 7 June 2025) charged with Act of indecency on person under 16-years-old, Indecent exposure and Common assault.
