A 47-year-old Palmerston man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly driving erratically with his partner and two children in the vehicle and later assaulting his partner at their home on Saturday (14 June 2025).

Both men were arrested by police yesterday.

About 11:15pm last night, an 18-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly kicking, hitting, and spitting on her former partner while in a parked car in Bonner.

In another incident last night, a 40-year-old Macgregor man was arrested after allegedly punching his partner and then assaulting their daughter while she recorded the incident.

They have both been charged with two counts of aggravated common assault. The 40-year-old man has also been charged with aggravated property damage.
