Man to face court charged with family violence offences

A 24-year-old Belconnen man has been charged after allegedly assaulting and threatening his partner on multiple occasions.

Police allege between November 2023 and July 2025, the man threatened his partner, assaulted her and in one incident, also assaulted her friend.

The incidents were reported to police and about 6:30pm last night (Sunday, 13 July 2025), the man was arrested.

He has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and making threats to endanger health, safety or wellbeing. He is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
