ACT Policing is calling for witnesses or anyone with information about alleged sexual offending by a teacher at a Canberra school in the 80’s and 90’s to come forward.
A 67-year-old man, who was a Physical Education (PE) teacher at St Francis Xavier College between 1984 and 1993, was charged in September last year (2024) with multiple sexual offences against a student.
Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team officers continue to investigate the alleged actions of the man while he was teaching at the school.
Investigators are seeking relevant information from former students or staff who were at the school from 1984 to 1993.
Anyone with information about the teacher’s interactions with students at this time is urged to come forward.
