ACT Policing is seeking witnesses, dash cam or CCTV footage relating to a home invasion on Templestowe Avenue in Conder last night.
About 10.50pm, police attended a home in Conder following a report that three people armed with weapons broke in while a man and child were present.
Police allege the assailants threatened the occupants and stole keys to a blue Holden Commodore with ACT registration YLO69S.
A neighbour came out to assist the occupants and was struck with a baseball bat. The group fled the scene in the stolen Commodore and a white Holden Barina with ACT registration YKP37E.
Both vehicles were seen by police driving erratically and the Commodore was located in Coombs later that evening.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the home invasion, or anyone who may have seen or has dash cam footage of the Barina or Commodore driving erratically in Canberra’s south last night, to come forward.
Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 7947413. Information can be provided anonymously.
