A 26-year-old Turner woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning following an alleged aggravated burglary at a real estate agency in Braddon yesterday.
About 7.10am yesterday morning (Wednesday, 26 February 2025) the woman allegedly used tools to pry two secured lockboxes off the front entrance of the business, which contained a swipe card to the building.
The woman is then alleged to have returned at about 7.50am with a man and woman and used the swipe card to gain access.
The two women and the man then allegedly ransacked the rooms within the building and are alleged to have taken several items including numerous keys to properties, laptops, an iPad, cameras, and wallets.
About 9.30am, police attended the real estate agency after receiving reports of the burglary.
Utilising CCTV footage and location data from a laptop that was allegedly stolen during the burglary, police attended the 26-year-old's residence in Turner yesterday morning.
Police located the majority of the items that were stolen inside the property, and the woman was subsequently arrested.
The 26-year-old, who was subject to a good behaviour order at the time of the incident, has been charged with aggravated burglary and breaching a good behaviour order.
Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the identity of the man and woman who are also alleged to have been involved in the burglary. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 7984259.
