Police operation in Uriarra tomorrow

ACT Policing, with the assistance of AFP Search and Rescue and the ACT State Emergency Service, will be conducting a search operation in the vicinity of the Uriarra Crossing Recreation Area tomorrow (Saturday, 22 February 2025).

Access to this area (including the off-lead dog beach area) will be restricted while this search is conducted. The Uriarra East Picnic Reserve Carpark area will also be closed off to the public during the operation.

ACT Policing apologises for the disruption that this may cause to people wishing to use these facilities.

The search is related to an ongoing investigation and is expected to run for most of the day.
