Man charged with sexual assault and theft offences allegedly committed against his partner

A 43-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning after allegedly sexually assaulting his partner and taking her jewellery to sell it.

On Tuesday, 11 February 2025, police commenced an investigation after the woman attended Woden Police Station to report the alleged sexual assaults and thefts.

Police will allege the man sexually assaulted the woman on multiple occasions. He is further alleged to have taken her jewellery without her knowledge and sold it.

About 6.10pm yesterday (Friday, 14 February 2025), police located the man at a residence in Narrabundah where he was subsequently arrested.

He has been charged with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and five counts of theft.
