Identification sought following City assault

ACT Policing is seeking public assistance to identify a man in relation to an assault in the City last month.

About 3:10am on Sunday 26 January (2025) police were called to a disturbance between two men in Garema Place, City.

A man who was wearing a black singlet, black pants and who had dark curly hair, allegedly punched another man, who fell to the ground unconscious.

The alleged offender walked away immediately after the punch, joining up with a group of three others who were close by when the altercation occurred.

Police arrived a short time later and observed the victim to be unconscious on the ground. Medical assistance was immediately sought for the injured man.

Following enquiries by police into this matter, members of the public are now being asked to assist in identifying the alleged offender.

Police are also urging the man who threw the punch to come forward. Investigators would also like to speak to the group of three people who were nearby who may have information about the incident.
