Witnesses and information sought to historical sexual offending

A 34-year-old man will face court today charged will alleged sexual offending in Pearce in the early 2000’s.

Following an investigation by ACT Policing Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team, a 34-year-old man is expected to face the ACT Supreme Court today (Wednesday, 10 December 2025).

Detectives allege the man (who was a teenager at the time of alleged offending) committed the sexual abuse of two children under the guise of playing a game with them. The man resided in Pearce between 2001 to 2008 – when the alleged offending occurred.

He has been charged with two counts of choking/suffocating/strangling another person and three counts of child sex offences.

Anyone with information about alleged sexual offending by this man in the mid-2000s should contact police referencing 7545174.

Police are urging any victims of sexual assault, including anyone who is aware of intimate images being shared without the subject’s consent, to report these criminal activities.

You can also submit an online report for historical sexual assault for incidents that occurred more than six months ago.
