Three people have been charged with a total of 79 offences following a dedicated operation targeting retail theft in north Canberra suburbs.
Police will allege that the goods and alcohol stolen by the three people was worth more than $12,400 and saw two women and a man charged:
- A 36-year-old woman who was arrested yesterday (Friday, 29 August 2025) and charged with 28 offences relating to thefts from liquor stores in the Dickson area.
- A 26-year-old Ainslie woman was arrested yesterday (Friday, 29 August 2025) and charged with 31 offences relating to thefts from liquor stores in the Dickson and Braddon areas.
- A 48-year-old Watson man who was arrested on Monday (24 August 2025) and he was charged with 20 offences relating to multiple retail thefts.
The arrests have occurred under an ongoing operation targeting repeat retail theft offenders in the north Canberra area.
ACT Policing will continue to work closely with retailers and small businesses to identify and bring before the courts those individuals who commit retail thefts.
