Third road fatality recorded for 2025

An 85-year-old Sydney man has become the third road fatality for 2025 following a collision that occurred in Watson last month.

On the afternoon of 23 March (2025) at the intersection of the Federal Highway and Antill Street, a station wagon left the road and collided with a tree.

The two occupants were transported to hospital with the male driver sadly dying in hospital yesterday (Sunday 13 April 2025).

This brings the ACT road toll for 2025 to 3 persons.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
