
ACT Policing is seeking information about unlawful possession of firearms after two unregistered weapons were located in Holder.
Following investigations into recent shootings in the ACT, about 2:50pm yesterday (22 April 2025), officers executed a search warrant at a vacant residence in Holder.
Two of the 21 firearms located at the premises were unregistered. Police seized all 21 firearms along with a suppressor and approximately 10,000 rounds of various ammunition types.
Additionally, a detonation cord was located at the premises, which was subsequently taken by the AFP Bomb Response Team.
No charges have been laid at this time, however enquiries into this matter are continuing.
ACT Policing is calling on the community to provide information that identifies the location of illicit firearms, particularly those in the hands of criminals.
The threat to safety posed by criminals who possess, carry, or use firearms is a considerable risk to the community. We need to ensure illicit firearms are taken out of the hands of criminals for the safety of everyone in the community.
