Man charged after allegedly strangling his wife multiple times

A 28-year-old man will face court today after allegedly strangling his wife multiple times yesterday morning.

Police allege between 1am and 3.30am on Wednesday (9 April 2025), the man repeatedly strangled his wife at their home in Gungahlin.

About 10pm, the incidents were reported to police and a short time later, the man was arrested.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 10 April 2025), charged with four counts of choking, suffocating, or strangling another person.
