Identity of man sought following City assault

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man following an alleged assault in the City last weekend.

About 4.45pm on Sunday (13 April 2025) two women were walking along East Row in the City bus interchange when one was struck from behind by a man. He allegedly took a flag she was carrying and threw it on the ground before running away.

The man police would like to speak to has dark hair and dark skin. He was wearing a distinctive red hoodie with white lettering on the back, red shorts and white socks with red shoes at the time of the incident.

ACT Policing is seeking public assistance to identify the man and is releasing images from nearby CCTV.

Police are also keen to speak with any witnesses to the incident who have not already come forward.
