
Woman charged after driving at former partner
A 30-year-old woman will face court today after allegedly trying to run over her former partner during an incident in Dickson yesterday.
About 12pm (Monday, 9 September 2024), the woman, who was accompanied by her two children, met with her former partner near the Dickson pool. The two had a conversation before the woman got into her car and drove at him, narrowly missing him.
The woman allegedly reversed the vehicle and drove at him a second time, striking him in the hand and ribs.
The woman and her children left the scene and police were called.
After speaking to the man and other witnesses, police attended the woman’s residence in O’Connor and arrested her.
She has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated property damage, and driving offences. She will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
