
Traffic disruptions tomorrow from protest activity
ACT Policing is advising morning commuters about likely traffic disruptions as a result of planned protest activity tomorrow.
A truck convoy will travel to Canberra tomorrow (Tuesday, 10 September 2024) and it will be active on our roads between approximately 8am and 11am.
Police have been advised that after 8am, two groups of trucks will converge at the top of Northbourne Avenue and proceed towards the City.
Roads that are expected to be impacted include:
- Northbourne Avenue,
- Cooyong and Coranderrk Streets in the City,
- Parkes Way,
- Monaro Highway and Hindmarsh Drive (near Fyshwick)
- Canberra Avenue
- State Circle.
From State Circle the convoy is expected to travel to EPIC via Canberra Avenue and the Majura Parkway.
Protestors are then expected to congregate at Federation Mall.
Drivers are asked to be aware of the planned protest activity on the roads and if you may be impacted, please leave in plenty of time or select an alternative route.
