Seeking witnesses to Franklin road rage and stabbing incident

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged road rage incident in Franklin that resulted in one man being stabbed.

Between approximately 1:45pm and 2:10pm yesterday, (Sunday, 15 September 2024), the incident allegedly began when a blue Subaru SUV pulled in behind a Black Mitsubishi Lancer on Flemington Road, Mitchell.

Police believe the drivers of the two vehicles began interacting while driving north on Flemington Road with both vehicles eventually stopping at Nullarbor Avenue, Franklin.

Both male drivers left their vehicles and an altercation allegedly occurred where the driver of the Mitsubishi received a stab wound to the chest.

The victim was driven to hospital and police were notified about the incident.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the interactions between the two cars, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the vehicles travelling along Flemington Road to Franklin.
