Witnesses sought to dangerous driving in Tuggeranong

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of a dangerous driving incident in Tuggeranong today.

About 11am (Sunday, 17 November 2024), police directed a blue Daihatsu Feroza to stop on Bugden Avenue in Fadden.

The driver braked suddenly, causing a collision with the police vehicle, before fleeing the scene.

Police began a search following several reports of the vehicle driving dangerously around the Tuggeranong area, including on footpaths and nature strips.

The vehicle was later found in Fadden and the alleged 41-year-old driver was found hiding in a nearby backyard a short time later.

He has been arrested and is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday, 18 November 2024), charged with several driving offences.

Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the Daihatsu being driven dangerously in the Tuggeranong area between 11am and 12pm today.
