Man charged with sexual assault

A 42-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today after being charged with sexually assaulting another man earlier this year.

On 9 September 2024, police received a report of an alleged sexual assault committed by the 42-year-old man in May.

Investigators from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team began inquiries and yesterday (Friday, 15 November 2024), executed a search warrant at the man’s home.

He was arrested and charged sexual intercourse without consent, two counts of using a carriage service to menace, two counts of aggravated common assault, and selling or supplying a prohibited substance.
