ACT Policing has located the body of a 57-year-old man near Shepherds Lookout outside Strathnairn.
About 12.25pm yesterday (Tuesday, 13 February 2024), police commenced a search for the man after he was reported missing.
The search took in an area near the Murrumbidgee River and Shepherds Lookout, and utilised resources from ACT Policing general duties, AFP Search and Rescue, and the ACT State Emergency Service.
Sadly, the man’s body was located about 7.20pm.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Shepherds Lookout between 11am Monday, 12 February and 3pm, Tuesday 13 February.
