
A 36-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting police following a dispute with her neighbour last night.
About 3pm (Friday, 13 December 2024), police responded to a dispute between the woman and her neighbour in Taylor.
About 7.20pm, police returned to the residences after the woman allegedly breached an undertaking to keep the peace by spraying her neighbour’s home with a hose and yelling abuse.
Officers attempted to speak to the woman but one officer was bitten by her dog when she went inside her residence.
Police arrested the 36-year-old woman but she allegedly injured two officers during the process, kicking at them before being handcuffed.
While in custody at the ACT Watch House, the woman allegedly assaulted officers again, biting one on the arm and scratching another on the hand.
She has been charged with two counts of assaulting a frontline community service provider, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and other offences. She is expected to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 14 December 2024).
