Police investigate drowning at Pine Island Reserve

A 21-year-old man has died following an incident at Pine Island Reserve in Greenway yesterday afternoon.

About 6pm, police and emergency services responded to reports a man had failed to resurface while swimming in the Murrumbidgee River.

A search for the man commenced and sadly, his body was found in the water by AFP divers about 7.50pm.

ACT Policing will prepare a report for the Coroner.
