Police exercise at EPIC today

ACT Policing will be conducting an operational exercise at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) today.

Between 1pm and 9pm today (Tuesday, 3 December 2024), ACT Policing’s Public Order Team will be conducting several exercises inside the EPIC precinct in Mitchell.

These exercises will involve the use of smoke and smoke machines as well as loudspeakers to simulate real world situations. Uniformed officers, observers and role players will be present.

People who live or work near EPIC or who are travelling past the venue should not be alarmed. Signage will be visible inside EPIC when police are conducting the exercises, and members of the public are asked to not enter any exercise area.
