ACT Policing has stepped up patrols at synagogues and Jewish community facilities this week in response to incidents in other Australian cities.
Regular patrols are occurring in an effort to ensure all community members feel safe to continue to use and enjoy these places.
While ACT Policing has not identified any specific threat to the community, it is recognised that some people are seeking to advance particular views via criminal acts. Such acts will not be tolerated by ACT Policing or the wider community.
Anyone who has any information about people who are seeking to act on antisemitic ideologies should contact police as soon as possible.
Anyone who can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
