A 39-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with 136 family violence offences.
Following an extensive investigation conducted by ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations team, 11 victims have been identified.
Police will allege these incidents occurred between 2002 and 2020, and the man committed physical and sexual violence offences against the victims in this time period.
The man has been charged with offences including incest with a child under 10 years old, sexual assault in the second and third degree, sexual intercourse without consent, persistent sexual abuse of a child, act of indecency on a child under 10 years and on a young person under 16 years, reckless threat to kill, choke person and render insensible, burglary, possess offensive weapon with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault.
