ACT Policing is calling on information from the public to locate an orange Nissan Micra that was involved in a shooting incident in Oaks Estate in May.

About 12.20am on Wednesday, 1 May 2024, a 20-year-old Karabar (NSW) man, driving the Nissan, approached a man and a woman who were walking on George Street, Oaks Estate.

At this time, police allege he exited the vehicle, and fired a single shot at the man, who was believed to be known to the 20-year-old.

While the 20-year-old man has since been charged with several offences, including unauthorised possession and use of a firearm, discharging a firearm in a public place, discharging a firearm endangering life, and causing grievous bodily harm, the orange Nissan Micra is yet to be located.

The Nissan has a number of distinctive stickers on the rear and sides of the vehicle, and also has extensive hail damage.

Police understand the vehicle is currently not displaying registration plates.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the Nissan is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 7737538. Information can be provided anonymously.
