Man to face court charged with sexual intercourse without consent

A 32-year-old O’Connor man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault in 2018.

Police will allege that in March 2018, the man engaged in sexual intercourse without consent and committed acts of indecency on a woman who was known to him.

He has been charged with four counts of committing acts of indecency without consent, and sexual intercourse without consent.

If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, you can report to police by attending a police station, calling 131 444, or by speaking to the Canberra Rape Crisis Centre on 02 6247 2525.

You can also submit an online report for historical sexual assault for incidents that occurred more than six months ago.
