Help Shape the Future of Safety in Canberra’s CBD

Last year, more than 700 members of the Canberra community shared their views with ACT Policing about safety and policing in the city at night. Your feedback provided valuable insights into what helps people feel safe, the issues that concern them, and what they would like to see in the CBD.

We listened.

The research highlighted the importance of visible, accessible and approachable policing. Community members told us that police visibility, meaningful community engagement and a dedicated point of contact in the CBD could help improve perceptions of safety. These findings have already informed a range of ACT Policing initiatives, including community safety messaging, increased police visibility, stakeholder engagement activities and Operation CBD SAFE.

Now, we want to hear from you again.

ACT Policing is seeking community feedback to better understand your views and expectations in shaping the future of safety in Canberra's CBD. Your feedback will help inform future planning.

The community helped identify the opportunity, now help shape what comes next. Complete the survey and have your say.
