Seniors Liaison Officers (SLOs) provide support to members of the community who are aged 65 or over.
What we do:
- Maintain strong relationships between the senior community and police.
- Engage with members of the senior community who are identified as being at risk and providing them appropriate support services to meet their needs.
- Provide education on preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of crime.
- Support ACTP members in day-to-day interactions in relation to members of the senior community.
- Refer members of the senior community to appropriate agencies.
- Participate in expos and relevant panels to promote safety and/or education to the senior community.
