Service of subpoenas
A subpoena, summons or notice to produce is a legal document issued by a court or tribunal at the request of a party to a case to compel the recipient to produce documents or give evidence at a hearing or trial.
A subpoena can be served on ACT Policing by email, post or personal delivery. ACT Policing requests conduct money be made at the time of service of a subpoena via cheque, money order or the preferred method of online through the below link.
*Note: When making an online payment please use the relevant court reference number in the reference line of the payment page. (E.g. CC24/1234; SCC24/1234; FVO123/2024; PPO123/2024 etc.)
At this time the AFP requests a Conduct Money fee of $30.00 AUD. Electronic payments can be made here.
If you serve a subpoena by email, you must also send the original documents along with conduct money payment details to ACT Policing by post.
A subpoena to produce documents must be issued to the Proper Officer. A subpoena to give evidence must be issued to the individual officer who will be required to attend to give evidence.
