Nicole Levay was appointed as the Director of Corporate Services for ACT Policing on 5 September 2016.

Nicole has held a diverse range of senior leadership roles in her 13 years with the AFP and has extensive experience in private and public sector finance, administration and analysis, regulatory compliance, project management, human resources, cultural reform/change management and government relations.

Prior to her appointment within ACT Policing, Nicole was the Manager Forensics Capability Program responsible for delivering a significant program of transformational change within Forensics including leading the design and oversight of the construction of a new world-class AFP Forensics Facility. Under Nicole’s leadership the Program received a public commendation from the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works as an exemplary model and received commendations throughout the Commonwealth Government’s Gateway Review process.

Nicole joined the AFP in 2007 as a financial specialist within the International Deployment Group. In 2009 Nicole commenced in the role of the AFP’s Financial Controller where she provided leadership for accounting services and financial management systems across the AFP including the introduction of the new funding stream of Administered Funds and establishing the financial systems to support it.

Nicole’s private sector experience has been with a number of Chartered Accounting firms including PriceWaterhouseCoopers specialising in taxation, business advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, and business recovery services involving company insolvencies, liquidations, voluntary administrations and bankruptcy.

Nicole is a qualified and professional member of CPA Australia, holds a Degree in Accounting and Law and a Masters of Business Administration and is a regular mentor to the Women in Law Enforcement Strategy (WILES) program.
